Florida Man Arrested For Murder After Car Troubles

A 24-year-old Florida man is facing criminal charges after car troubles led to police arresting him. The man allegedly murdered another man after breaking into his apartment on Dec. 29.

Residents of the apartment complex called police after hearing gunshots. Police called to the scene found the body of a 56-year-old man with what looked like both knife and bullet wounds on his body. Police also found evidence that the defendant broke into the apartment after shattering a window in the residence.

The man reportedly left the residence and got into his vehicle, which broke down not far from the scene. An officer investigating the crime stopped the car and found the man inside. The defendant later admitted to breaking into the residence, stabbing and shooting the victim before running from the scene. At the time of the report, the man was awaiting trial in a local Florida jail and may face felony charges of murder, assault, and other offenses.
